I have a phrase that I must say a couple of times a week, ‘We have a great old building, but it is a great old building.’ One of the things that I have had to learn is that when we are looking for a leak or a drip, the issue is rarely where it shows. Water will run to the lowest point and then drip. So we may find a tile that is wet in one room, but the leak could be several rooms over. We have to look deeper, beyond the obvious.
1 Corinthians 6:19 says that our bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit. We all have our own personal issues. I find that what is true of a physical building is also true in our spiritual one. Rarely is the issue where it shows. We deal with the fruit of things but not often enough, the root of things.
75 days of Renewal. Sounds simple. Sounds easy. I am praying that those of us who decide to take this challenge will not just read words and jot thoughts, but that we will look deeper, beyond the obvious. I am praying that Gods Word will renew us, and reveal things in us.
Every journey begins with a step, every change with a choice.
Colossians 2:7
7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
