Andrew began his life as an Assembly of God Missionary Associate in 1994 in Albania. He married his wife Stacey in the same year and graduated from Valley Forge Bible College with a degree in World Missions. Later, he completed a second degree in Modern Foreign Language from Mary Washington University in Fredericksburg, VA, and became a fully appointed missionary. He has now completed an MA in Biblical Studies.
Stacey is originally from Lakeland, FL, and she also graduated from Mary Washington University with a degree in English. Andrew & Stacey served as missionaries in the Republic of Macedonia from 1998 – 2004, along with their two children. Together they helped refugees from the Kosovo War and introduced the Royal Rangers ministry, which is co-ed in Europe (and much of the world). They also assisted in spreading the Ranger ministry to Bulgaria.
From 2008 to 2016 the Whitman family lived in Nairobi Kenya, coordinating the Royal Rangers ministries of Africa. Andrew currently serves as the RRI Mobilization Coordinator and Africa Specialist for Royal Rangers International and is overseeing the Catapult700 Project to advance Rangers in the Swahili-speaking nations of East Africa. He also coordinates GrowTrack, an online Learning Management System which helps nations launch and improve their Royal Rangers ministry. In addition, GrowTrack makes many of RRI’s resources readily available online.
