Rob and Sarah met in Scotland when Sarah moved as an AG World Missionary to pioneer University ministry in the city of Aberdeen. In 2009 the Malcolm’s transitioned back the states and accepted an invitation to pioneer a new Chi Alpha ministry in the city of New Haven, CT at Yale.
Dr. Rob Malcolm
Co-Director | Rob grew up in a small coal mining town in southwest Scotland, officially known as ‘one of Britain’s toughest towns’. He attended the University of Aberdeen where he received his B.S. in Physical Geography and a PhD in Geosciences. Rob was a Research Fellow and then a University Professor in Hydrological Science. Subsequently he attended Regent University where he obtained his M.A. in Practical Theology. He’s been in ministry for 20 years, 10 of those with Chi Alpha — which God called him into through a dream.
Rob is honored to have the privilege of sharing the good news that Jesus can change everything with the future world changers of Yale and thinks he works with the greatest team. You’ll find Rob in one of two places in his free time: making things with wood in his garage or working in his yard.
Rev. Sarah Malcolm
Co-Director, CMIT Director | Sarah grew up mostly in the midwest, mainly Nebraska and Missouri. She graduated from Missouri State University where she received a B.A. in Religious Studies and received her M.A. in Practical Theology from AGTS. She is currently a DMin student at Talbot School of Theology. Sarah’s life was forever changed after a student in Chi Alpha pursued her during her freshman year at MSU, and she’s been a minister in Chi Alpha for over 20 years at MSU, Aberdeen University, and Yale.
Sarah enjoys the constant hilarious fun of being with college students, their dedication to God, sincere questions, and love of each other. Most of all, she loves watching God transform their lives! In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
