The Next 100

As we look towards the next 100 years, we are looking to preserve and enhance God’s House.

We are excited to share the 100th Anniversary Projects with you.

A letter from our Pastor:

Dear First Assembly Family,

We are very excited to share in celebrating our 100th Anniversary with you this May.  As you may know, First Assembly started as a small group of believers meeting in the Alexandria home of Peter and Anne Duborg in early 1917.  Soon the group grew into a small congregation and a need for a building was immanent.  The church met in several different locations throughout Old Town Alexandria, until 1964, when our Sanctuary and education wing were built here at 700 West Braddock Road.

100th Anniversary Activities & Events
As we look back on the last 100 years, we celebrate how God has formed and shaped us into the community that we are today. We also look forward in great excitement and anticipation for the future that God has prepared for us for the next 100 years. We invite you to join us for our upcoming activities and events as we honor the past, celebrate the present, and prepare for the future!

100th Anniversary Projects
We will never forget the great grace and favor that has been placed here on God’s House.  Our building and facilities have served us for more than 50 years.  As we look towards the next 100 years, we are looking to enhance and preserve our church.  We are excited to share the 100th Anniversary Projects with you and ask that you begin praying about what God would have you do.  As always, this decision is between you and the Lord and we trust that you will respond as He speaks.  So I am asking you to ask Him, “What should I do to prepare my gift?”

I am honored to join you in this cause that will last for generations.  Let us pray together for God’s blessing as we prepare to celebrate our 100th Anniversary.

For His Glory,
Pastor Wes Johnson
Lead Pastor
